I have a question. i shoot with a leica m4 and was looking at getting a yashika mat 124 g i found for cheap. how do you like your's, and besides the negative size how is it different image wise from the leica?

this is even worse than comparing apples to oranges, my friend.
the leica is better built, handles better and quicker, is more versatile (lenses etc.) and smaller. the yashica mat won't replace the M4, while the M4 cannot give you the format and negative size the yashica provides. also, shooting a waist level camera can be an interesting experience and might push you in one or the other direction. the yashinon lens is good and sharp, but rather slow (f3.5 for the taking lens) and limited to that one focal length (you might want to get the close-up lenses for it, they're rather cheap. the bay I rolleinar should fit too).
drawing and bokeh are fine too, but maybe not up to a f1.2/35mm or a good summicron on a leica m.

tada.
I just proved that meat does not taste like orange juice. :D

I had a rollei but sold it, it wasn't the newer one so i don't miss it much. I do like the images that iv seen come out of the yashica though.

Thank you for your help.
